We are a small family business located in Eastern Ohio, just across the border from Pittsburgh, PA. The company consists of Laura (the candlemaker) and Tony (the soapmaker.) Our family helps - we have five children that all assist in the making or selling of our products.

Many people ask me how I got started with Soy Wax. I had burned paraffin candles for years until I realized that I was turning our house black with soot! I had no idea that paraffin candles were petroleum based and full of chemicals. In my search for a natural alternative, I came across Soy Wax. I made a few candles for myself, and was then hooked. I had found my passion! I left corporate America to follow my dreams.
I am currently celebrating my 10th year of natural candles making!! Our products are often imitated, so don't be fooled by look-alikes. If it doesn't say Makepeace on the label, then it's not our candles. Why are our products different? We put many, many hours into researching, mixing, testing and developing our own special recipes . You can tell the difference once you smell how realistic our scents are.
I am very excited to be able to provide you with a healthier, cost effective alternative to paraffin. Our bath & body items are free of the many chemicals that commercially made items contain.
